A Quiet Arrival was my first painting on this thicker Belgian linen. It's more of a memory of a moment, the kind that you look up and suddenly see a beautiful crane in the water and can't believe it, the sun is peeking through the trees, the morning light is beautiful and you are in awe. That is the feeling I wanted to capture here. Living in the Pacific Northwest, I've had a few of these and they are truly magical moments.
