Artist, Story,
& Studio

The Story
The name “Pail” draws from the humble galvanized bucket once used to hold paintbrushes. For me, it’s a metaphor for creativity — a reminder that every idea begins within ourselves.

The Studio
Pail Art Studio is nestled beneath towering evergreens, where birdsong fills the air just steps from my home. Housed in a converted 1919 garage, it still retains its original carriage doors and loft. Once built to shelter a Model T — complete with a mechanic’s pit below — the space has been transformed into a haven for artmaking. In summer, the patio overflows with flowers and greenery, and the fountain brings a peaceful rhythm to the day.

The Artist
After 25 years as a creative director and branding professional, I returned to the work that first called me: painting. My Awakenings series reflects themes of transformation, balance, and renewal, often inspired by the landscapes, birds, and botanicals of the Pacific Northwest.

Today, I split my time between painting in the studio and guiding select branding clients through Pail Design. My work has been featured in In Her Studio Magazine, Art in The Pearl, Bend Art Festival, Wild Arts Festival, and I’m preparing for my second year of Portland Open Studios in October 2025.
