Early this year, Jessica Bernert was awarded the emerging artist award from Portland Open Studios. She has been wanting to participate for a few years but knew she wasn't ready. This year, 2023, she was! She eagerly applied and was so happy to not only be selected in the process, but to be awarded a scholarship as an emerging artist. What an honor! The organization has been offering events to connect with other artists, zoom workshops about how to improve your process and more.
This summer is filled with preparation for the October show, where PAIL ART will open the carriage doors to the art studio, showcase most of the original artwork, and have the zen garden for tours.
