Élan (impulse / surge / momentum) Painted from a memory of tulips encountered on a quiet run through the French countryside, Élan captures a moment in motion, petals lifted by wind, color dissolving into light. The forms are softened, almost fleeting, as if the scene is passing even as it’s being held. This piece was created through instinct and surrender, allowing movement and emotion to guide the brush rather than structure.
